TJ Youth Foundation received a grant from the United States Golf Association (USGA) for the Rochester Youth Golf Program. The program provided over 50 inner city youth from Rochester the opportunity to experience golf at Mill Creek Country Club and Genesee Valley Golf Course. Program participants also learned valuable life skills through discussions and mentoring of the staff. The City of Rochester's Bureau of Recreation provided great support to make this program a huge success.
Mission
The Tony Jordan Youth Sports Foundation exists to provide supplemental funding to enhance the quality and integrity of youth sports in the City of Rochester.
To accomplish this we:
Encourage positive coaching, mentoring and life skill enhancement Provide funding to support unique life experiences and opportunities for youth
Invest in youth sports organizations that follow a positive youth development model Provide and support training opportunities for youth sports staff and volunteers Advocate for increased funding for infrastructure improvements and maintenance of youth sports facilities
Vision
All City of Rochester youth will have access to quality youth sports programming including adequate facilities, equipment and qualified program staff.
